- WRI 221: The Writing's on the Wall II (Year-Long Course)Grounded in humanistic disciplines, this seminar invites students to explore Princeton's campus as a material archive, first introducing them to different modes of textual, visual, and cultural analysis, before guiding them through the writing process as they complete an original research project of their own design.
- WRI 231: Is Talk Cheap? II (Year-Long Course)Grounded in social scientific inquiry, this seminar invites students to experience and gain expertise in conversation-based approaches to social research; it first introduces them to in-depth interviewing, qualitative surveying, and focus group methods, then guides them through producing an original research project of their own design.
- WRI 241: From Cuneiform to Codices: Archival Methods for Special Collections Research II (Year-Long Course)This seminar immerses students in archive-based methods for humanistic inquiry by exploring Special Collections objects (including manuscripts, drawings, death masks, musical scores, among many other items) and empowers them to develop an original research project of their own design.

Topics include academic integrity and effective source use, how researchers work with the academic literature as both readers and writers, how research articles are constructed and interpreted, how research findings are presented, and how quantitative arguments are developed. Two 80-minute seminars per week.
- WRI 502: Writing a Persuasive Proposal in Quantitative Disciplines (Half-Term)Workshop on writing research proposals, especially for submission to funding agencies and/or departmental committees. - WRI 504: Write to Publish (Half-Term)Course guides graduate students in the social sciences and humanities through the process of revising preexisting work into publishable form. Students learn the tricks of publishing and apply proven methods to their own work. In addition to classroom time dedicated to learning specific article-writing skills, participants form an accountability group to help meet milestones in the draft and revision, and have individual conferences for detailed feedback with the course instructor. Scholarship on various aspects of the writing process helps illuminate the many mechanisms behind forming sustainable, positive work habits.
