William H Kale Named AVP for Capital Projects
William H. Kale III will begin his tenure on March 17.
William H. Kale III has been named the associate vice president for capital projects in Princeton University Facilities. Kale will begin his tenure on March 17.
The Office of Capital Projects provides leadership and expertise to manage capital projects from design through to construction and delivery phases for both new construction and renovations. Kale will oversee a dedicated team of professionals during a time of historic growth on campus.
A retired Brigadier General who last served as the commander of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center, Kale brings almost three decades of experience in facilities management, strategic planning, and large-scale project execution.
“Bill brings a deep set of skills to the Office of Capital Projects, including a proven record of executing complex projects, fostering cross-functional collaboration and driving operational excellence” said Vice President for Facilities KyuJung Whang. “Bill is an accomplished leader who will ensure we implement the capital plan to meet the University’s strategic goals.”

Throughout his time in the military, Bill has overseen the planning, design, and construction or renovation of thousands of federal facilities including dormitories, laboratories, command headquarters, and the iconic US Air Force Academy Chapel. In addition to facilities management, he has also served as an Air Force legislative liaison to the US House of Representatives.
Bill holds a Bachelor of Arts in architectural engineering from Pennsylvania State University, a Master of Science in environmental and engineering management from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a Master of Science in national resource strategy from National Defense University. He holds a professional engineers license and a professional certification in project management.
