Info tab content
This course will consider what many to believe to be the most consequential relationship of the 21st century- that between the United States and China. Assessing the relationship from different angles, and using examples drawn from both recent history and today's headlines, we will confront foundational questions about the character and direction of the relationship- from cooperation to competition to confrontation and conflict. We will consider differing opinions on strategic approaches, tools and tactics of engagement, the question of end states, and, more broadly, visions of global order.
