Info tab content
This course teaches students how to conduct empirical social science through hands-on experience in econometric analysis. The course systematically investigates applications of econometrics to a variety of problems. Students will acquire the skills necessary to carry out their own empirical research in economics, including (1) development of testable research questions, (2) use of appropriate data, and (3) specification and estimation of econometric models and research designs. Special attention will be paid to causal inference in data-rich environments and to applied microeconomic topics like labor, education, health, migration, and crime.
