Atomic Physics

The class covers selected topics in atomic theory and experimental techniques. The topics include atomic and molecular structure, dynamics of two- and three-level systems, open quantum systems, light-matter interaction, laser cooling, atomic collisions, ultracold gases and Rydberg atoms. Evaluation consists of homework and a term paper.
